I Remembered!

This time I remembered to remove the green film! I've completed another page (well, two sides) for the Wedding book by using this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge which is:

Sorry about the quality of the photos - taken using the kitchen lights as it was still dark.

Used the same papers as before - Papermania double sided 12 x 12 Brown Ornate Clusters, the photos have been layered onto Bazzill 12 x 12 Carob paper. I've rounded and inked the edges too and the chocolate brown satin ribbon is left over from making the actual Wedding stationery, and too the heart gem.

The chocolate brown flowers are Prima which I bought specifically to make the book and the others were freebies from an overseas website a while ago. I must stop looking at them and use them more! The centres are Papermania brads.

I've not completely followed the sketch as I've missed off the sentiment, but I felt the pages didn't need one.
  • Double Sided Paper: Papermania 12 x 12 Ornate Brown Clusters
  • Brown paper: Bazzill Basics 12 x 12 Carob
  • Everything else: From my stash

Donna & Danny - 8 August 2009

Saturday was the second Wedding of the year! I made the Day Invitations, the Evening Invitations and also the place cards for Donna and Danny. And doesn't she look lovely! Much changed from the usual Busy Bees nursery uniform of dark blue!

I took the boys to watch and we just about got there in time - normally it would take us just 25 mins and it took an hour due to the football traffic....

We were invited to the Evening Reception and the boys had a great time running around and dancing on the dance floor.

There was quite a bit of audience participation - the DJ played most of the instruments, sang and got a little kids band going - Samuel who surprised us by saying he wanted to join in - so here he is!
I did video him too but its too long for my little blog to cope!

A great Wedding and evening - thank you Danny and Donna for inviting us!
The last Wedding is over the August Bank Holiday weekend up in Scotland - one of my cousins is getting married!

Evening Invitation - Baby Pink and Chocolate Brown

And here are the Evening Wedding Invitations I have recently completed - they complement these which were no where as near complicated or time consuming! And my thumb survived this time!

Cardstock is lightly hammered ivory card A6 size with a strip of the baby pink rose vellum across the middle, then the chocolate brown satin ribbon with the diamante heart slider. The insides have been printed onto ivory paper. All the same stockists as before but the hammered ivory card is from A4Card.

I am now currently working on samples for the place cards - so watch this space for those!

Wedding Invitations - Pink Hearts & Vellum

As promised, here are some photos of the recently made Wedding Invitations. Made 53 of these beauties! And they are not a weird shape like the photo suggests - not sure what went on there as it looked straight when I took the photo!

Anyway, the cardstock has a lovely velvety feel in a slight off white colouring. The pale pink vellum envelope is layered onto a square of the cardstock, and the computer generated sentiment has been added via 3d foam pads.

The little envelope opens to reveal the Bride and Grooms names (which you can just about make out in the top photo) The heart is covered with pink and silver seed beads and the heart is the clasp so the envelope stays closed.

I'm also making the Order of Service which follows a similar theme, the place cards and also the table plan. So look out for those mid July!

Chocolate Brown & Baby Pink Wedding Invitations

As promised! Here are the Wedding Invitations I have spent the majority of the last 2 weeks making with the most activity taking part over the weekend!

The chocolate brown double sided pearlescent card is really luscious but hard work when trying to mark out the folding and scoring lines as its difficult to see the pencil marks in artificial light! The baby pink background roses vellum has been layered onto white paper otherwise the pattern got very lost! I bought the vellum from a2bcrafts who were so helpful and very quick in sending the order out - so thank you Anne and Linda!

And the heart buckles / sliders I bought from ebay. The ribbon, which I just had to buy a full spool of (I think 93 meters!!) is from Ribbon Oasis.

I printed all the wording myself as the Bride and Groom wanted the guest names including rather than handwriting them.

So, 42 of these made - just have to make the 50ish Evening Invitations now, which are much less complicated - will show those at a later date!
And you do need to feel sorry for me as I have been industrially injured in the process of making the above Invitations - my thumb nail is agony from peeling back all the double sided tape that I used!
