Vroom Vroom!

This car is taken from the very first Polkadoodle Paper Boutique cd - volume 1 and I do like making this car up! Basically it is pre coloured and all you need to do is select which size you want (A4, A5 or A6 or even tiny ones!) and then print all the elements, cut them out and then layer them up!

I've not used the back of the car as it can get quite bulky for envelopes and I've not got any big enough at the moment, so this car is fairly flat! That is despite 4 layers made up with foam pads! It's for the CD Sunday challenge which is:

I've added glossy accents to the headlights (although you can't tell!) and I've made the furry dice from tiny white pom poms and thread with black marker spots.

Polkadoodle Challenge Week 10 - Special Birthday

It's Friday again so time for another Polkadoodle challenge! This week Fliss has set the challenge and it is to:

Celebrate a special Birthday or Milestone

I've used the brand new Polkadoodle cd Paper Boutique and the cute boy car printed as A5 size. I've added the sentiment to the number plate as you can see!

This car is actually really good as you could use either the front or the back and you'd never know - its not an obvious back, if you see what I mean! All elements are really easy to cut out and layer up onto 3d foam pads.

The cars come in different sizes; A4, A5 and A6 and even a little tiny one that prints both sides onto A4 for toppers. You can embellish all you want or use the printed sentiments that come with the cd.

And as I'm trying to get a bit organised I'm making some Father's Day cards at the moment and these are aided by the wonderful new cd that is due to be released on Thursday on Create and Craft from Polkadoodles - Paper Boutique.

I've used one of the small decoupage cars - the front and back elements print onto one sheet of A4 but I've been a little economical and have managed to make 3 cars from the sheet!


I've managed it by not using as many layers as I should so its not as decoupaged as it should be.

The two backing papers are also from the cd and I really do like these two! I've handwritten Dad1 on the number plate and the brads are from my stash.

And I've used papers and topper from the very soon to be released - you saw it here first folks! - template cd from Polkadoodles called Paper Boutique. The little car does actually have a rear but I've not shown it on the card. The cd has around 18 to 20 different templates in A4, A5 and A6 sizes with matching backing paper collections and sentiments so you will be able to make double sided cards for all occasions!

I'll be showing more of the cd over the next few days so come back and have a look! I've used one of my Nestie dies to cut the shape out of the bottom of the card and also the aperture behind the car. I've swiss dotted the silver card. The little L plate is handwritten with a square bubble sticker over the top. Gems are from my stash.

It's Good Being Five

We spent most of yesterday at Brodsworth Hall near Doncaster. We'd noticed from the list of events on the English Heritage website that there was going to be a vintage car rally. And here are some of the photos from the day!

We'd not been there long when it chucked it down, so everyone took refuge in the doorway of the Hall. It didn't rain for long, fortunately.

There were some lovely woodland walks around the grounds and millions of wild strawberries growing, much to the amusement and fascination of the boys!

And there was an adventure playground with a real boat as the centre piece - both boys enjoyed 'driving' it!

So why is it good being five? Well, when you are five and very cute with lovely manners, you can ask the owners of classic cars some questions. Standard ones being, how fast does it go, how old is it and what does that do. And if you are lucky, you get asked if you want to sit in it!

Samuel, immediately agreed and here are the two cars he sat in (don't ask me what they are, I've forgotten!)

Spreading the Love!

Lynsey sent me an email to let me know that along with Cuteable, Kath and Jozza, this little blog has been featured on Stampinwhenican as a newly discovered blog!!!! How fab is that??!!

And its our Wedding Anniversary today - 8 years. Awww!!

But the day has started badly - my car (only just 3 years old) would not open nor start, so AA called out, and I am now £76.50 lighter as the robust package I thought we bought (covers breakdowns on the moon) does not cover home start. So had to add the home start bit on plus got stung for the fact that I need to call them out.

Daylight robbery - I'll be watching to see if the patrol man (due in about 20 mins) wears a mask.

Needless to say, will not be renewing with the AA in February.

Driving Test!

Was asked to make this card by CreativeClare from the Crafts Forum for her friend who had just passed her driving test, loved to shop and had a little red car! Her son is also shown on the card as he starts school in September.

It's Freddie!

Made specially for a Queen fan who also likes cars! Tried to do a bit of a retro 80's theme!

The little Freddie Mercury figure will be a new product for May on my website. He actually has chest hair (chalked!)
