Girl with Apple

The Michelle Perkett Studio challenge this week (along with a blog hop!) is

Back To School

I downloaded this lovely digital image from Paper Craft Planet and I've coloured Mary Margaret with Promarkers and a little inking.

The spotty backing paper is left over from a previous project and is from Pink Petticoat - Big Dots Mini download. Some faux stitching around the edges and some card candy.

And I've finished it all off with a huge red satin bow! Mainly to match the red apple and because it needed a splash of colour!

I'm now off to join in the blog hop!

Fovever Friends - Black and White

The Forever Friends Challenge this week is:

Black and White

And because I wanted not to do it all in black and white, the bear has been coloured with watercolour pencils in a bear type colouring and the heart is red glitter glue. So I've kept the white as the cardstock plus the big wide white satin ribbon and the black is the scalloped oval frame and very fab black flower lacy ribbon. I've added clear gems to the flower centres and also on the frame scallops, and a bit of black organza ribbon behind the bear, finishes it all off!

A Simple Valentine

The Forever Friends Challenge this week is:

Valentines

This challenge was on my list of ones that I wanted to achieve for the week. I always make a list of the ones I want to do, bearing in mind what else I need to do for the week and I try my best to complete the list.

This card started with good intentions - I had coloured the bear early in the week and started on the red glitter glue knowing that it would need a few coats. And then it all stopped. And I managed to complete it last night not really knowing what background to use. So, its a bit of a rushed card as I am shattered (both boys have now had / have the sickness bug so lack of sleep has not helped).

And the angle of the card is wonky.
  • Backing paper: Little Pillow - a download I found ages ago
  • Image: Forever Friends coloured with watercolour pencils and red glitter glue
  • Ribbon: From my stash

I've got 2 days off next week as its half term so hopefully I can catch up on some bits and bobs including completing 40 Evening Wedding Invitations!

Be Warned - It's A Bit Red! Arty Girlz Challenge 54

I did warn you that its a bit on the red side! But that is what the Arty Girlz Challenge wanted!

This weeks challenge is to use the colour RED on your creations, as always interpret the theme as you choose
A quick and easy card to make - an another one that I knew straight away what I was going to do. Oh how I like it when that happens!! I cut some of the high gloss red card (got loads of it!) into 4 squares so they would overlap in the centre, which would be covered by the ribbon, and then ran them through my Cuttlebug embossing folders - Snowflakes and Swiss Dots. Stuck them to the card stock and added the ribbon. I quite like the simplicity of this card although its a bit on the loud side!

  • Red card: High gloss red card from my stash
  • Embossing Folders: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Snowflakes
  • Ribbon: Snowflake ribbon from my stash but suspect it came from Lynsey as I don't remember buying it! Red satin ribbon certainly from my stash!

Quickly rustled this one up as I thought the opportunity was too good to miss!
