Daring Card Makers Challenge - Something Lucky

It's time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and the theme this week is

Something Lucky

I've used a fab image from the sadly closed From The Heart Stamps (the sentiment came with the image) and coloured it up with Promarkers.  I embossed a background panel using Picnic Quilt from LDRS and edged it with dotted liquid pearls.

I've added some half pearls to the centre of the lucky clovers and ribbon is from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Daring Card Makers - Farewell

Hello, it's Friday again so time for another Daring Card Makers challenge!  The theme this week is

Retirement or Farewell Cards

I've made a Good Luck card for a colleague who I've worked with for around 16 years and this is for the office to sign.  I've used an image by Faith at From The Heart Stamps which sadly is no longer available as the store is now closed.  The sentiment came with the stamp too.

I've used Promarkers to colour plus added gems to the centres of the shamrocks and one I've rather gone over the top with the glitter on the one in the middle!

Ribbon and charm are from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following:

Just in time for St Patrick's day!  I've cut a frame with my X Cut dies and then added a very thin veneer of gold around the edge.  The image is a From The Heart Stamps - Wee Bit and Lots O Luck set and I've coloured it with Promarkers.

From The Heart Stamps Blog Hop - Use Your Stash

It's the first Monday of the month so it can only mean a From The Heart Stamps Blog Hop!  The theme for the month for the DT is:

Use Your Stash

I've used Wee Bit and Lots O Luck and coloured it with promarkers plus one of the shamrocks is heavily glittered plus they all have half green pearls added from my stash.  The green organza ribbon, waxed cord and charm are from my stash.

If you've arrived at me from Michelle then you're on the right track - I'm the last in the hop so don't forget to leave me a comment and then hop back to the blog and leave a comment there too!

One lucky comment on each blog will be selected as a winner where you will get to choose a stamp of your choice from the store.  From all the comments on the main FTHS blog will be in with a chance to win a $15 voucher for the store.

The hop will end on Sunday 7 August at 6am EST and the winners will be posted on the From The Heart Stamps blog on Wednesday 10 August.

Good luck!

Good Luck

I needed to make a good luck card in a hurry and remembered I had this great little digi - From The Heart Stamps - Wee Bit and Lots O Luck pack - I've just used one of the images included.  Coloured with Promarkers and added to the card with foam pads - doubled up as I used an X Cut die to create a frame and used tiny foam pads to raise that up.

Embroidery thread and waxed kraft coloured twine from my stash and I've created 'pretend' brads with a black marker and glossy accents over the top.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafting When We Can:  Washi, Ribbon or Twine
Robyns Fetish:  Kraft Card
The Paper Players:  Hip To Be Square

Lots o' Luck

This is one of those cards that I like to make, but don't really as it means that someone is leaving. There are going to be a few departures from where I work in March so trying to be prepared for when they happen. I've used the lovely Wee Bit and Lots O Luck digi by From The Heart Stamps.  Coloured with Promarkers and added some half pearls to the centres.

Embossed panel is a Cuttlebug folder - Swiss Dots, added some Card Candi that I found in my stash plus some ribbon I bought in bulk from ebay (well, it was cheap and lots of colours from China!)  The shaped bit down the side is made with a heart punch - nothing fancy!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Gem of a Challenge:  Clean and Simple
Suzy B's Challenge:  Embossing
Brown Sugar:  Anything Goes
Crafts 4 Eternity:  Emboss It
I Heart Card Sketches:  Sketch followed

Lots O' Luck!

I've got a few 'sorry you're leaving / good luck' cards to make (and a few leaving lunches to go on too!) so I thought I'd get started and made this with a From The Heart digi stamp called Wee Bit and Lots O Luck - sentiment comes with it too plus other images in the set too.  I've coloured it with Promarkers and added glossy accents to the little shamrocks in the jar.

The sentiment came with the set and I've used some offcuts of card from a Funky Hand download - Christmas Tree (I hate to waste the offcuts!)  The ribbon is from my stash along with the half pearls.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

I Heart Sketches:  Sketch followed
Just Add Ink:  Green
