I've coloured up a Bugaboo image with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue and used papers from Funky Hand - Funky Little Christmas download (no longer available). I can resonate with the sentiment!
Black card, ribbon and embellishments are all from my stash. Great sketch from Paper Play Sketches to follow and for inspiration.
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Paper Play Sketches: Sketch followed
A Beautiful Mess: Anything Goes
Brown Sugar: Anything Goes
QKR Stampede: Something Funny
Simply Papercraft: Anything Goes

Forgotten Funkies - Funky Little Christmas!
It's time for another blast from the past with a Forgotten Funkies post! This time the download choosen is Funky Little Christmas! It's not one for the faint hearted as its loud and proud!
I've made two gift card holders which have used one sheet of card each. I've then added some white satin ribbon so that the flap at the top remains closed, added a Marianne die snowflake and a matching button from my stash along with some embroidery thread, and its done!
They didn't take long to make at all - it took longer for the glue to dry!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks: Snowflakes
CRAFT: Gift Bag or Box
Sassy Studio Designs: Not Your Typical Christmas
Bearly Mine Challenges: Christmas In Pink
City Crafter: Hold It

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 11 - Cute
Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge! Another nice and easy theme this fortnight:
And I have two wonderful sponsors! Anice from Funky Hand is offering one winner a download of their choice:

And Tammy from A Day For Daisies is offering another winner a $12 gift certificate to spend instore! See how good I am to you?!
I've used Christmas Pixie 2 from A Day For Daisies (thank you Tammy!) and coloured her with Promarkers and glitter glue and used Rainbow Polkadots for layering the image with Funky Little Christmas as the main base. I've also added glitter around the edge of the image and the card.
The sparkly garland down the side looks great but is a bit of a challenge to get it to lie flat and to glue it to the card! It is half of a two tone beaded garland from The Range - the other part is silver and I split it down. So two lots of 9 feet for £1 - bargain!
We had a bit of a trauma last night. Jacob is nearly 6 and a half but not lost any of his baby teeth yet although one, bottom front, is rather wobbly but is not yet ready to leave. He had an apple after tea that had been cut up and he accidentally caught it on a piece and we now know he does not like the taste of blood! I've never seen so much blood - shame it wasn't Halloween!!
So tooth fairy at the ready!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
I Love Promarkers: Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly: For The Girls
Partytime Tuesday's: Monochromatic
Crafty Hazlenuts Christmas Challenge: Glam It Up With Glitter

Pink Christmas, with Sparkle
I found a new challenge site (and had to make a purchase or two!) which is Squiggle Stamps and their current challenge is:
I've also used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch for inspiration (always good inspiration!) The image is a freebie from Squiggle Stamps and I've coloured it with Promarkers. The papers are all from Funky Hand - the spotty one is Rainbow Polkadots download and the other has a very light snowflake pattern on it and is from Funky Little Christmas download.
I've done the dotting around the edges with liquid pears and a silver gel pen for the image. Ribbon is from my stash (was determined to use it as I've had it for years!) and the large snowflake is from a Matalan sale. The other snowflakes are confetti.
I'd like to enter the following challenges with my card:
Incy Wincy: Monochromatic
Sparkles Foum: One For The Girls
Secret Crafter: Monochromatic
Sweet Stampin': Christmas In July
Crafty Catz: Christmas In July
Fussy and Fancy: Christmas In July

Fairy Pink!
I really do enjoy the Digi Sparkle challenges although I must admit, the current one made me think a bit more! Heather is asking us to use:
I was determined to use the lovely fairy image and wanted to use pink but got stuck! I then realised I already had some Funky Hand papers printed from Funky Little Christmas download. So the colours that I have opted for (not including white and skin tones!) are pink and brown.
I've used one of my Nesties dies to cut the scalloped shape and decided to part cut / highlight the fairy as I thought that too much white could be distracting.
The glitter I found in my stash and its sort of a coarse glitter which still gets everywhere! The ribbon and pearlescent snowflake are also from my stash.
Oh, and before I forget, there is a 25% discount at Funky Hand on all digital downloads until midnight 31 October - go and fill your boots, or at least your hard drive!!
A limited colour palette (2 or 3 colours only)

I'm Dreaming of a White (and Pink) Christmas!
My final submission as November Guest Designer for Daring Card Makers. I've really enjoyed my time and I'm available for any other GD spots out there!!
This week is 'I'm dreaming of a White (and Pink) Christmas':

This week is 'I'm dreaming of a White (and Pink) Christmas':
I think I'm going for the more simple look these days and letting the paper patterns speak for themselves! All papers are from Funky Little Christmas download with the sentiment paper printed at A5 rather than the default A4 setting as I wanted more of the writing on it! Edges have been inked in black with a faux dot and dash stitch around the edge of the sentiment panel.
The snowflakes have been cut with an Ellison snowflake die and I've used the tissue interleaving from a photo album as I liked the crinkliness of it and the fact that it was already sort of embossed! Plus, I could not bear to throw it away - ever the hoarder! The pink panel it is on has been Swiss Dot embossed and the brad just holds it all together. Ribbon is a Dovecraft grosgrain special.
Funky Little Christmas is great if you want to move away from the traditional Christmas papers and go, well, Funky!!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge - The Two of Us
I had decided to cut down on the challenges this week as I've got a few other things going on that have deadlines. However, I then decided that the only challenges I would be doing would be where I could make Christmas cards thus preparing myself for the Festive Season and also having a bit of fun at the same time. See how logical my thinking is?!
The Cute Card Thursday Challenge #22 is:
A quick and easy one to make which really just happened (as if by magic hehehe!) Backing paper from the Funky Little Christmas collection by Funky Hand - the larger is embossed with the Cuttlebug snowflake folder. The image has been layered onto the same backing paper via 3d foam pads but without the embossing. The image and layers have all been inked in black (I did say that there would be more!) And the ribbon courtesy of Jozza.
The Penny Black image has been painted with my trusty watercolours and I've added a tiny bit of sparkle too!
The Cute Card Thursday Challenge #22 is:
'The two of us'

- Image: Penny Black 'Winter Snuggles', coloured with watercolour paint and a tiny bit of Anita's 3d gloss glitter paint

Christmas is Coming to Funky Hand!
Two new Christmas downloads are now available from Funky Hand!! And here is a sneak preview of some of the papers (which are, as you'd expect, totally fantastic!)
The first card is made using the Funky Little Christmas download which is more contemporary - with pinks, browns and greens. The trees are actual toppers which I have simply cut out and attached to the card with strips of acetate,
so the trees look wobbly! I've added some snowflake punches and gems and some green grosgrain ribbon.

I am quite a fan of stripy paper! The letters have all been cut using the Round-a-bout alphabet from Sizzix with 'crimbo' cut from matt gold card.
The second collection - Funky Christmas Time has a more traditional colour pallet with deep reds, greens, ivory and golds. Some of the patterns are modern but with a traditional feel. I'm working on a further two samples from the Funky Christmas Time collection, so watch out for those later this week!
