Daring Card Makers - Wedding / Anniversary

I'm the host for the new Daring Card Makers challenge and the theme is

Wedding / Anniversary

I get a lot of requests to make these wordbooks and this one was requested by a work colleague as she was to be a bridesmaid at the Wedding.

Made from linen effect white card with my own letter templates.  The letters are added to the pages with foam pads and I've dotted liquid pearls around the edges.

Sizzix cut tag has been handwritten and I've used ribbon from my stash (bought especially as that is the bridesmaid colour!) and half pearls also from my stash.

The DT were challenged to make something bright and I've gone with the cute Kitty Whiskers die set from the Great Outdoors Collection.  The backing paper is from the Just Smile paper pack and the frame has been made with the Fabulous Mitred Frame set.  The letters and frame have been cut from the Fur and Skin papers and the letters are a Sizzix die.

Little Miss Muffet Challenge - 192 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Little Miss Muffet Challenge and the theme, as always is

The challenge lasts for two weeks and you could win a $10 gift certificate to the store!  I've used Pick Me Up Truck, coloured with Promarkers and I came across the papers when looking for something else!

The 'sand' is an embossed cardstock 12x12 stack from The Works (£3 for 24 sheets) and the aqua and patterned paper were in a starter pack when I bought my Sizzix machine.

Sizzix die cut tag that I've handwritten plus a bit of freehand doodling with a black fine liner pen and the clouds are Memory Box dies.  Good luck with the challenge!

Another Father's Day Pint

Here I am again with another Father's Day card using Pint Glass from Dr Digi along with a sentiment from the Father's Day sheet which I've printed onto kraft card.  The image I've shaded with a black fine liner pen - its so nice to be able to do this rather than use colour!

The papers I found in my stash when I had a tidy up a while ago.  Not got a clue where they are from but they fitted the theme perfectly!  Black elastic has been recycled from something else - not got a clue from where - just found it!

Daring Cardmakers Challenge - Wonderful World

Kathy has chosen the lyrics from Louis Armstrong's A Wonderful World for inspiration and I've made this funky card using a no longer available sentiment from Jellypark.  I printed it directly onto the cardstock and cut round it, adding glitter to the stars and then making the banner with an X Cut star die cuts attached to two BBQ sticks.

I've used a no longer available Kenny K image, coloured with Promarkers and then added to the large numbers which are my own templates, using papers from Dovecraft - Back to Basics 3 which I've had to paper piece together as the stack was only 6x6.

And some more Polkadoodles loveliness from the recent Hochanda show!  This is the Beary Cute Great Outdoors Die and all the papers used are from the Great Outdoors paper pack.  The letters have been cut with a Sizzix die and the frame made with the Fabulous Mitred Frames die set.  The background is a paper from The Great Outdoors pad and I've added some waxed cord from my stash to make the frame hanger.

For inspiration, I've used Polka Dot Pals Morgan and coloured her up with Promarkers and to represent one of my local U7s girls teams (who are actually very good!)

The papers are from a now retired Polkadoodles download and they were offcuts from a previous project and I had to be clever as to how to get them to fit on the card base - so there are gaps underneath that you can't see!

Sentiment is a magazine freebie stamp and black card is from my stash.  Good luck with the challenge!

Nuts About You

A little bit more cute from the recent Polkadoodles Hochanda show!  This time I've used the Nuts About You Woodland Fox stamp set - I've used the little squirrel as the focus and also the acorns plus one of the sentiment stamps.  I've stamped the acorns a number of times, coloured them and then cut them out to layer.

The waxed cord is from my stash and I've doodled a line around the edge of the card with a fineliner pen.

Polkadoodles is back on Hochanda with some wonderful animal themed dies, stamps and co-ordinating papers!  I've used Woof You stamp, coloured with promarkers and then used papers from The Great Outdoors plus one of the block colours from the skin and fur bumper pack of papers.

You can just see a little bit of the cute paw print ribbon too.  There are 6 different character stamp sets and also matching cute dies!

The Great Outdoors

This is the Father's Day card I made my Dad - using The Great Outdoors image from Dr Digi which I've coloured with Promarkers and coloured pencils.  Papers are from a rather paper pad that I bought years ago in the sale from Papermania - Secret Garden 6x6 papers and because they weren't big enough for the card blank, I've had to arrange them in a random pattern after I'd cut them into 4.

Sentiment is also from Dr Digi - Father's Day Sentiments and I printed it onto kraft card.  Base of chocolate brown card is from my stash along with the two charms and the waxed brown cord.

Now I do like using kraft card and I've used this sentiment from Tiddly Inks which I think is now retired as I can't find it in the store.  I've printed it three times onto some kraft card and then layered it onto black and then onto the card blank.

The DT were challenge to make something that was not square or round so I've made this cute birthday card for a little boy who will be turning two in a few months.   I've used Dragon Onesie from Little Dudes and teamed it with papers from Sticks and Bones.

The letters are my own template and I've cut them out of card and then layered the papers on top, and then layered those onto the pages with foam pads for extra depth.

I've made this cute Father's Day card using Polka Dot Pals Ryker, coloured him with Promarkers and added him to a 6x6 printed sheet from a stack from the poundshop.

The stars have been cut with scraps of card using an X Cut die and the sentiment has been carefully pieced together using various word dies - these are Clearly Besotted.

Father's Day is almost upon us in the UK and I've used Pint Glass from Dr Digi (and it's only 50p!) plus one of the sentiments from the Father's Day Sentiment sheet which I've printed onto kraft card before layering it on to black card from my stash.

I've used some cute dies from Polkadoodles - Winnie Chic for the body, back hair piece and flowers; Winnie Ballerina for the front hair (I snipped a bit off) and also for the base of the dress.  I made the dress using little pieces of raffia ribbon that I snipped and then ruffled up.

I've made this cute card using Flavours of the Month and Ice Cream Sundae because I think they go perfectly well together!  Both have been coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue here and there and I found some iridescent sequins in my stash so added them for extra sparkle.

Retirement - Page 6 and Final One!

Here is the final page of the epic retirement card I made for a work colleague which gave everyone and the various offices plenty of room to sign as the reverse of each page was blank.  This one features Weekend Walter and also Lamp.
