First Birthday

My youngest cousins' son will be one in a few weeks and this is the card I made for him from one of my other cousins!

I've used another cute Lili of the Valley Simply Print images - Fast Asleep Boy, printed onto white linen effect card.  I've used the same card for the bunting on which I've handwritten his name.  Half pearls, ribbon and teddy bear charm are all from my stash.

I've layered the image onto a Make and Create (Poundshop I think) Happy Watercolour 6x6 pad as it matched one of the ribbons perfectly.  The edge of the card and image have been glittered with iridescent glitter glue and the sparkly number is from The Works.

I treated myself a while ago to some of the Lili of the Valley Simply Print sheets - this one is called Put Your Feet Up.  I printed it directly onto some linen effect white card and then used watercolour pencils to add some background to the image.

I've used some kraft card and layered distressed pieces of Dovecraft 6x6 Back To Basics True Blue paper (I seem to have a lot of 6x6 paper packs in my stash - I blame The Works for having such good offers on them!)

I've added a fine liner black pen border to the edges plus all the buttons and waxed cord are from my stash; the sentiment I printed on my pc.

I've used Be A Unicorn digi stamp, coloured it with Promarkers and glitter glue and added it to the card base with foam pads for depth.  I've added pale pink liquid pearl dots around the edge of the scalloped card; everything else is from my stash.

New Adventures

Here is a card I've made for a work colleague who is leaving us for pastures new. I've used a cute stamp from Tiddly Inks - Ellie Says Bye.  I've coloured it with Promarkers and found a piece of cloud paper in my stash however it wasn't square so I've had to join it up and then hide it with the clouds and sentiment.

The sentiment came with the image and I've added half pearls and embroidery thread from my stash.  The clouds are Memory Box die cuts.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 137 - White

It's time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

White

I've used white linen effect cardstock for the base and scored a border around the edge.  The snowflake garland is a Memory Box die cut and I've added half pearls to the centres of the snowflakes.

The sentiment has been printed on my PC and the tag is a Sizzix die cut.  Beading wire, and wooden glittery snowflake are all from my stash.

Salon Deirdery

And here is another of the leaving cards I made for colleagues at work. This time I've used Salon Deirdery from Dr Digi and left out the dog.  Coloured with Promarkers plus I've added a mirror with some silver card (yes that is my reflection taking the photo!) and a frame from my stash.  Everything else is also from my stash.

Another New Home!

And here is another new home card made using the Simply Print - Mouse Key sheet from Lili of the Valley.  I printed it directly onto the card stock and added the sentiment on the tag with free text from Pic Monkey.

Papers are 6x6 Curiosity Corner from Dovecraft and I've lightly distressed the edges and then added a light faux running stitch around the edges,  Ribbons, half pearls and charms are all from my stash.

Sweet New Home

I've been asked to make a few new home cards recently so I treated myself to a Lili of the Valley Simply Print Sheet - Mouse Key.  So this is one of three cards I made with the image!  I added the sentiment myself with Pic Monkey and one of the free fonts from it.

I've used some cream card from my stash and printed the image onto it plus used it also for the card blank.  Chocolate brown card from my stash along with the half pearls, twine and two key charms.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Christmas

Time for a new Polkadoodle Challenge!  The theme as always is

But the DT were challenged to create Christmas in July!  I've used two of the soon to be released Christmas stamps!  I've combined Frosty The Snowman with the Christmas Gifts stamp.  All coloured with Promarkers and added to an acetate card.  Such cute stamps and perfect for kids!

The background die cuts are Memory Box and I've used off cuts of white linen effect card for them.  The snowflakes are also die cuts but unbranded metal dies with half pearls added to the centres.

The organza ribbon and bakers twine are from my stash and I've hand written the Sizzix die cut tag.

Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 28 - Anything Goes

Welcome to a new Colour Crazy Challenge!  This week our sponsor is Pickled Potpourri and we were generously provided with a range of images to work with!  The theme of our challenges as always is:

For my first card I've used one image from a set of four vintage cars - simply printed directly onto linen effect white cardstock and coloured with Aquamarkers.  Really quick and easy - I cut the image out with an X Cut die and then layered it onto some black card from my stash.  I've added a dotted frame around the image with a black fineliner pen and then the same around the edge of the black card with a white gel pen.

And my second card uses Bubble Over and I've used Promarkers for colouring.  The frame is a Polkadoodles die cut - Bubbleicious Frames and I've used ribbon, pearls and a charm from my stash.  The edges of the card have been dotted with liquid pearls.

Faldaree Deirdery Dunderton

As with any restructuring at work, there are people who move on.  I've made quite a few leaving cards recently and here is one made for someone who is very active and walks a lot, not just in the UK but all over the world.  I've used Faldaree Deirdery Dunderton from Dr Digi and coloured her with Promarkers.

The vintage map is from my stash and I've added a kraft card banner cut from a Sizzix die plus arrows and sentiment from little X Cut dies.

The Design Team were challenged to use Red, White and Blue - I used papers from Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles and used my X Cut dies to create all the stars.  I've added a faux running stitch with a black fine liner pen.

Welcome to a new Crimbo Crackers challenge!  The theme for the fortnight is:

Anything Goes

Your creation must be Christmas or Festive!  I've used a cute decoupage - Tinsel Tots and layered it onto some offcuts of printed paper from my stash.  Added a satin red bow and a wooden snowflake and the card is complete - sometimes the simple ones are the best!

Time For A Pint

There's a new Dr Digi sentiment sheet - Beer Sentiments - that has just been released and my card today features one of those sentiments but I've made it the focal point of the card as they are easily resized!

The text has been coloured with Promarkers and I found a kraft card frame in my stash (I have a feeling I've had it for years!) so have used that plus some flat backed black gems.
