Mini

I do like printing directly onto Kraft card as it sometimes takes away the need to colour!  I've used Mini Cooper from Dr Digi, cut it out with an X Cut die and layered it onto some chocolate brown card from my stash.  The papers are Trimcraft - Travel Notes 6x6 stack and I've also layered onto chocolate brown card.

A bit of inking here and there plus a wobbly line around the edge of the card with a black fine liner pen.

From The Heart Stamps Sketch Challenge - Recycling 2

It's time for a new sketch at From The Heart Stamps and we've gone right back to the beginning with the sketches as Faith is still recovering from her treatment.  The sketches are without twists so just follow the sketch and as long as you use a FTHS then all is good!

I've used Birdie and Balloon and the sentiment comes with the image.  Coloured with promarkers then I distressed the edges of the image along with the freebie papers from a magazine that I've had for quite some time.  Buttons are from my stash along with the organza and satin pink ribbons.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Anything Goes or Use A Design Sheet

There is a new Polkadoodle challenge starting this week and the theme as always is:

Anything Goes

The Design Team were challenged to use one a design sheet from one of the collections.  I've gone with Work and Play 12 and all I've added are some buttons and black card from my stash.  The brads on the banner are made with a black fineliner pen and glossy accents, so I cheated a little!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 131 - Kraft Card

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Kraft Card

I've printed the topper directly onto kraft card - I've used one of the Christmas download collections from Polkadoodles.  The stripy card behind is from a Graze box which I've recycled and ribbons are from my stash.

I've cut the main panel with an X Cut fancy die and then added a dotted line of gold 3d paint around the edge.

Easter Pouch

I've used a fab image from Dr Digi - Cuddly Critters Rabbit to make this Easter egg pouch; actually I made three more or less the same for each of my nieces.  The image has been coloured with Promarkers and I cut it out with an X Cut die.

The top of the pouch is a strip of printed card left over from making a word book (I don't like to throw off cuts away as you never know when you'll need them - I think this is around 4 years old!) - Retro Fun word book collection from Funky Hand, which is now retired and no longer available.

The button is from my stash and I've added a faux running stitch around the edge of the image and pouch top with a black fine liner pen.

From The Heart Stamps Sketch Challenge - Recyling 1

It's time for a new From The Heart Stamps sketch challenge. As Faith is still recovering from her treatment we don't have any new sketches to share, so we've decided to go all the way back to the first sketch from 2013!

There are no twists with these sketches - just the sketch.  Please remember that you need to use a FTHS in your creation - there are some freebies in the store if you don't have any of Faith's images.

I've used Spectacular Birdbrain and coloured her up with Promarkers, the sentiment again is a mix between Spectacular Birdbrain and Five Party Birds - I've used PicMonkey to merge the two together.  I've also used buttons from my stash and a charm plus vellum and card that I found; embroidery thread also from my stash.

Bugaboo images are always quick and easy to colour up - this one is Gus Birthday - Over The Hill.  I've used Promarkers and watercolour pencils to colour.  I've used chocolate brown card from my stash for layering plus some brown half pearls.  Papers are Papermania For Him 6x6 stack.

The DT were challenged to make Anything But Square and here is my effort.  I've used papers from the Fredericka Mini Collection.  I've used my own large number templates and dotted around the edges with liquid pearls.  I made the banners using wooden skewers and off cuts of card - the letters are all hand written and I finished them off with dots made using a fine liner black pen.

Wilbur The Whale

Here is a cute digi from Dr Digi - Wilbur The Whale!  I've coloured him with Promarkers plus added glitter glue to his splash and glossy accents over his eye.

Papers are all Echo Park - Splash and I've hand written the sentiment and the buttons and embroidery thread are all from my stash.

Vintage Truck

It's been a long long time since I joined in with a Tiddly Inks challenge.  If I'd have been a tad more organised I would have entered the challenge prior to the current one - I even made two cards but forgot to blog them in time!  Doh

Anyway, here is one using up some scrap paper I found in my stash - I have a sneaky feeling that it is Funky Hand and it just went so well with all the kraft.  The image is Father's Day Vintage Truck and I printed it directly onto the kraft card, inked the edges (with a very worn inkpad!) added glossy accents over the word Dad and tied a little clock charm with waxed cord - both from my stash.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 130 - Bells

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is

Bells

I've used a felt reindeer which was originally a tree decoration and added a little gold jingle bell to his antler.  Papers are Papermania - A Wonderful Christmas Time 6x6 stack and I've layered the center panel onto gold card from my stash.  Added a button and bakers twine and the sentiment has been cut with a combination of Clearly Besotted dies and Sizzix.

To be honest, all the elements on the card I've had for quite some time!

Quick New Home

A quick card to share - using Paint Can from Dr Digi (only 50p!), coloured with Promarkers and added to the Kraft card blank (10 for £1 from the Pound shop) with foam pads.

I've added two little Yale key charms from my stash, tied on with waxed red cord.  I've added a faux running stitch around the edge of the card with a black fine liner pen.  I've handwritten the sentiment.

From The Heart Stamps Sketch Challenge 169

Time for another Sketch with a double twist challenge over at From The Heart Stamps.  You can either follow the sketch or either of the two twists or a combination of three or all of them!  The only stipulation is that you must use a FTHS image - there are freebies in the store if you don't have any!

I've followed the sketch and both twists (go me!) and I've used Birdbrain Hula Chick and coloured her up with Promarkers with watercolour pencils for the background.  I've used Spellbinder dies to cut the circle and the fancy edging.

I've used Spectacular Birdbrain and coloured her up with Promarkers plus glossy accents on the glasses.  The sentiment is a mix between Five Party Birds and Spectacular Birdbrain and I merged the two using PicMonkey.  Papers are from a rather old collection from Funky Hand which is now no longer available.  Ribbons and charm are from my stash.
