I've coloured the images with Promarkers and added glossy accents to the highlight.  Die cuts are Nestabilities and I've handwritten the sentiment.

Welcome to a new From The Heart Stamps Sketch with a Twist!  Don't forget that you can either follow the sketch or the twist or both - just remember that you must use a FTHS stamp in your creation and there are some great freebies in the store too!

I've used Precious Gift digi and coloured it with Promarkers.  The main backing paper is Dovecraft Back to Basics 3 and I've layered the image onto some lilac card from my stash.  Ribbon is also from my stash plus the half pearls.

To finish, I've added dotted liquid pearls around the edge of the image.  I've added my own sentiment to the tag on the image.

Below is the sketch along with the twist.  Good luck!  Each entry receives $1 towards a purchase in the FTHS store or you can save them up to get a free stamp!

Good Luck

A card for a work colleague who is leaving us for a new post very soon.  Trouble is, I've had to make a few cards for her so they have all needed to be different!  This one uses the Lucky Birdbrain Chick image from From The Heart Stamps.

I've coloured it with Promarkers plus added glossy accents on the eyes and added a blingy pearl to the centre of the shamrock.

I found a perfect green satin ribbon in my stash, tied it with some bakers twine and added the charm.  I've handwritten the sentiment which is on a half of a die cut shape.

Polkadoodle Challenge - Die Cuts

We are half way through the current Polkadoodle challenge and the theme which has a week left to run is:

Die Cuts

So nice and easy!  I was asked to make a card for a new Daddy on Father's Day so I used the template from Paper Boutique Vol 1, traced the letters, added an extra 'd' and then made my own letter 'y' and added it all on the end.

The die cuts I've used are stars, the larger ones are an X Cut die and the tiny ones are a little punch which is great for using on scraps.  I've hand written the sentiment and used very blingy silver card and plain black from my stash.  And to finish it off, I've added some half pearls to the sliver larger stars.

Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following:

As You Like It:  Favourite Die (star die because it is so versatile and is great on male cards!)

The Old Ones Are The Best

Sometimes the old ones are the best!  Valve Radio from Dr Digi, I've shaded it with a fine liner black pen and then used kraft card from my stash - embossed with Swiss Dots and then added some burlap from my stash.

The sentiment die cuts are from Clearly Besotted - the Grandad word is part of congratulations and dad - I had to do some clever cutting and gluing!  Wooden star is from my stash.

I've used three of the single images from the Birdbrain Football set and have take off the ball that the first birdbrain is holding; I've also written my own sentiment on the second image.  The green card is from my stash and I've added the images (coloured with Promarkers) with foam pads for some depth.

To be honest, the card wasn't looking like that in my head but glad it turned out how it did!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

First Birthday

I've got quite a few of the Lily of The Valley pre-coloured square toppers and kinda need to use them up!  So I've made this cute first birthday card.  I've used Dovecraft Back To Basics 3 6x6 papers and distressed the edges then added liquid pearl dots for extra texture.

The lilac coloured card is from my stash along with both ribbons.  The silver die cut number is also from my stash (bought from ebay before I bought my die cutting machine, so around 12 years I've had them!)

I've added a little glitter here and there - you just can't see it on the photo.

From The Heart Stamps - Stamp of the Month - June

Have you seen the June Stamp of the Month Challenge over at From The Heart Stamps?  It's a great stamp this month - Ice Cream Lineup - I've used one part of the image, enlarged and coloured with Promarkers plus added glossy accents to the cherry and little seed beads to the top of the ice cream to make it look like sprinkles!

Ribbon is from my stash along with the little spoon charm.  I drew around a Spellbinder die to create the fancy bottom edge and then added a dotted line of liquid pearls to finish it off.  The image has been added with foam pads underneath to add depth.

The Stamp of the Month Challenge is really easy - join in by purchasing the image and then linking up your creation to the challenge page and then next month you get the next stamp for free!  A great way to build up your collection of FTHS!!

Balls

A quick and easy but surprisingly effective card made using one of the Balls images from Dr Digi.  I used a letter template taken from a Funky Hand cd (no longer available) and used one of the papers from the Boys and Girls download again from Funky Hand and again, sadly, no longer available.

Edge the letters with a bit of sparkle and then coloured the balls with Promarkers and added onto acetate bunting.  Die cut sentiment is from Clearly Besotted (two dies) and the ribbon and twine are from my stash.

From The Heart Stamps Sketch 156

It's time for a new From The Heart sketch challenge with a twist!  From time to time (usually when I buy a new image) I have a printing spree - I add all the images I want to print into word and then print.  Sometimes I know what shape I want the image to be and line up the die over the image to make sure it will fit.

However, although I did like this one up, it was a bit off centre so his hand is slightly out of the frame, but I think it looks fine!  I coloured French Mustache Birdbrain with Promarkers, added glossy over his eyes to make them shine.

I found the paper in my stash (have a feeling its 10+ years old!) and the red card was also from my stash and I've added some black dewdrops.

The sketch is below - you can either follow the sketch or the twist or do both but you must use a FTHS - there are some freebies in the store!  Good luck!

From The Heart Stamps Blog Hop - Design Your Own!

It's the first Monday in the month so that can only mean that it's time for a From The Heart Stamps Blog Hop!

This month Faith has been really really busy!  She's designed an image for each of the DT based upon requests we made.  Mine is called Racing Birdbrain and I asked for it as my eldest son races go-karts and look what I got!!  I know I'm going to get a lot out of this stamp set and it could also be used for any kind of celebration!

Even the DT haven't seen all the stamps so the hop is going to be a big surprise for us too!

I've used Promarkers to colour, checkered flags have been added with bbq skewers and then added to the stepper card with double sided tape and glossy accents (great for gluing and dries quick!)

Grass die cut is from Clearly Besotted and I've used scraps of card coloured with Promarkers.  Cloud paper is Echo Park - Summertime.

Just hope I remember I've made his Birthday card early - its not until September and chances are very high that I'll have forgotten by then!

So, I'm the last stop in the hop and I hope you've enjoyed the journey - all the stamps you've seen are available to win as one lucky commenter on each blog will be picked to win that image.  So, don't forget to leave comments as you hop through!  You will have arrived at me from Michelle, leave me a comment and then finally hop over to the blog.

Plus, one lucky hopper will be choosen from all the comments on the FTHS blog and Faith will design your very own image - leave a comment as to what that image would be on the FTHS blog!

The hop will end at 6am EST on Sunday 12 June.  All winners will be posted on the FTHS blog on Wednesday 15 June.

Good luck!!!

From The Heart Stamps Sketch 155

It's time for a new From The Heart Stamps sketch with a twist challenge!  I've used Inner Tube Birdbrain, coloured with Promarkers and glossy accents and the papers are from Funky Hand - Keep In Touch which are no longer available.  The speech bubble is also from the paper set and I've hand written the sentiment.

I've added blingy half pearls plus dotted liquid pearls around the edge of the card, papers and image.  The sketch is below along with the twist - you can follow either the sketch or the twist or do both but please remember to use a FTHS.

We've also got our Blog Hop running too with lots of new images and some great prizes to win!  Good luck!

More Kraft

Another quick Father's Day card; again used a Jellypark sentiment printed directly onto kraft card, cut it with a Spellbinder die and then layered onto black card.  I embossed the background panel with a Cuttlebug folder and then added the burlap (had to be creative with it as it wasn't long enough!)

Buttons are from my stash and I've added some waxed cotton in the centres.  Silver stars are punched from a tiny hand punch.

Wonderful Dad

Quick card from me and getting on top of the card orders for Father's Day.  I've used a fab Jellypark circle sentiment - Jellypark is no longer trading but I still love the digi's and do miss being on the DT.

I printed the sentiment onto kraft card and then layered into onto black card; the embossed panel (Cuttlebug) was also layered onto black card.  The little silver stars are a punch.

A bit of inking and faux running stitch around the edge of the card and its complete!  I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Polkadoodle Challenge - One For The Boys

Another Polkadoodle challenge is here!  The theme for the fortnight is:

One For The Boys

And with Father's Day in the UK just around the corner, perfect time to go way back to an earlier cd - Paper Boutique Vol 1.  I've used this particular template loads of times and it always looks good!

I've used one of the Family Affair templates and printed off as A5 size; I've just added a faux running stitch around the edges with a black fineliner pen, handwrote the Sizzix tag and added some extra kraft stars from my X Cut die.  Really easy and quick to make!

I've recycled a Graze box for the kraft card - its really good quality and I just have to be careful as to where I cut.

Good luck with the challenge - for more details and inspiration, pop over to Polkadoodles.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 108 - Anything Goes

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and its another easy theme:

Anything Goes

I've used a Tiddly Ink image - Inky Critters and used it twice to create two different cards with all the same elements.  I've used Promarkers for colour plus a Cuttlebug embossing folder, ribbon from Tesco, a handwritten sentiment on a Sizzix tag, ribbon and charm from my stash.

I've also added a glittered edge to the images and edge of the card.

Good luck with the challenge!
