You're A Star Bookmark

Here is the second of the two new releases from Jellypark.  And it's called You're A Star!  I've made it into a book mark as I fancied doing something a little different and I had a look through my plain card to see what colour I should go for.  And as I've got some sheets of lilac that I've had for ages, that was the colour I picked!

I've used an X Cut die for the digi shape which has been coloured with a mixture of Promarkers, liquid pearls, stickles and watercolour pencils.

I then layered it onto the lilac card and cut out round it so that it was layered.  The velvet brad and ribbon I've had in my stash for quite some time too - I have a feeling that the ribbon was a donation from someone at work - a hoop thing from inside a jumper (never say no to ribbon donations!) and the glass chunky bead is from a cheap bracelet from the poundshop.

I've got a mountain of books that are on my reading list just I never have enough time just to sit and read and I fall into bed exhausted each night.  My Mum suggested a Kindle (as she's got one) but it doesn't look the same nor feel the same.  And how would I use my bookmark?

Mind you, it would cut down, drastically on the dusting...!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

ABC Challenge:  C is for Clear It Out (card base, ribbon, brad, bead)
Anything But A Card:  Anything But A Card
Live and Love Crafts:  Anything But A Card
That Craft Place:  No Squares Allowed
Crafty Catz:  Recycle / Upcycle (ribbon from a jumper, bead from a bracelet)

Everything else:  My stash (or donated)

  2. Love this beautiful bookmark--what a great way to use that digi! And I am too tired for reading anymore, too, which is just wrong! :^)
