Crimbo Crackers Challenge 128 - Die Cuts

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Die Cuts

I've used a Sizzix die cut for the main panel and then bout the reindeer head and hooves from ebay - adding shadow and depth with Promarkers, the nose is a glitter pom pom from my stash.

I've also added a sentiment and attached it with a half pearl.  Patterned paper from my stash.

Good luck - pop over to Crimbo Crackers to enter your creation!

Lego

I've got lots of Birthday card requests on the go and usually I have a number of different projects that I work on at the same time and this was one of them. I've made a lego brick card using an X Cut square die plus a 'bubble' from a die I bought from ebay.

The highlight is added with a white gelly roll pen and the sentiment has been stamped with a rubber stamp I found in my stash during the big tidy up / clear out before Christmas.

Wooden Anniversary

A nice and simple Wedding Anniversary card - made for my cousin for her husband.  As it is their 5th Anniversary and the modern theme is wood, I've used some wood on the card!  The little figures are Studio Calico - the largest ones in the pack and I've added three wooden hearts (ebay puchase).

The heart is an X Cut die, charm and waxed cord from my stash and the sentiment (Lili of the Valley rubber stamp - retired) has been stamped with brown Memento ink.

I've embossed the front of the card with a Sizzix A4 folder.

Stars

I have a lot of papers that I've printed over the years in my off-cut box - the ones that I've used here are from Funky Hand - Wishes and Kisses which is, sadly, no longer available as Funky Hand is no longer trading.

I've used Clearly Besotted dies for the sentiment (and added a tiny star punch on the letter i).  The other stars are an X Cut die - the smaller dies I've added with foam pads for extra depth.

The large inverted scalloped edge die is from ebay.  And to finish, I've used a black fine liner pen plus some sparkly thread from my stash.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 121 - Non Traditional Christmas

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme is

Non Traditional Christmas

Here is another unusual request for a Christmas card - a 12 year old boy who loves the Skylanders game.  So, I did a little research and found this image as a free colouring page.  It's been coloured with Promarkers and I hand wrote the Sizzix tag and added a punched snowflake.

The embossed pannel across the centre is a Cuttlebug one and I've used one of my new steel dies for the snowflake (total bargain from ebay seller in China and it cuts like a dream!)  Charm and embroidery thread are from my stash.

Needless to say, the receipents Mum was really pleased with it and knows her son will love it!

My Little Green Baby!

Look what I've treated myself to! Fed up of trying to eyelet set without the correct tools, I decided enough was enough and treated myself to this little funky green baby! And its very very quiet (apart from me swearing cos I've put the hole in the wrong place!)

Brand new from ebay - a snip at £10 including postage and packing. I did really really want the Crop-a-dile but could not justify spending that much for something I'd use every now and again.....

Just need to go and buy some more eyelets! So watch out for lots of creations with eyelets!! You have been warned!
