Last Tree In The Shop

Here is a card for those who leave getting their Christmas Tree until the very last possible moment.  Having said that, one year our tree did look like this come Christmas Day as all the needles dropped off!  I've used Last Tree In The Shop from Dr Digi and coloured it with Promarkers.  I've been having a sort out with all the craft papers I have printed and found these in my stash - they are that old that they've been retired!

The base card is from a great pack I bought a while ago from Lidl and the ribbons and charm are from my stash.

I'd like to enter the following:

613 Avenue Create:  Anything Christmas
Addicted to Stamps:  Season's Greetings

Dude Time Doodles - Challenge 15 - Sketch

It's time for another Dude Time Doodles Sketch Challenge! To enter, pop over to the Challenge blog where you will see the creations from the rest of the Design Team, and its a really lovely and simple sketch this week! Sorry about how tiny the picture is though for the sketch!

For my creation I've made a Christmas Card with a St Nick image that I coloured ages ago but never got round to using! he's been coloured with Promarkers and I've used papers from the Polkadoodle Crimbly Doodles download. The sentiment and tree strip is from the same download.

I've used some iridescent stars from my stash plus some doodling and inking and the card is complete!

Good luck with the challenge! For more details, pop over to the Challenge blog where you can also leave your entry!

Ohh, before I forget - we have a Design Team call - if you fancy joining us pop over to the Challenge blog for more details and our requirements!

Polkadoodle Challenge 20 - Sketch

It's Friday again and time for another Polkadoodle Challenge! Nikky is on Create and Craft at 11am this morning demonstrating her brand new double cd - Not For Girls! As the title suggests, it is a cd just for me although I do think that some of the papers and elements could be used for girlie cards - just no pink involved!

So, for week 20 Challenge, it is a sketch, and the DT were asked to use the Crimbley Doodles Christmas download.
I must admit, I struggled a little when I saw the sketch, but then I had a little think and decided to use an acetate card and then add the elements on! So all the paperbased elements are from the download and I've kept the loopy star top to the trees by making my own with wire and silver confetti stars.

I've not got a clue who I'll send this to as I'd have to be creative as to where I write the message!

Hope you are able to join us in the challenge this week - it is open until 12noon GMT on Sunday 11 October so you have plenty of time plus you can use what ever stash you like - it doesn't have to be Polkadoodles!

Good luck!
