Crimbo Crackers Challenge 42 - Cute

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme this fortnight is:

Cute

I've used a pre coloured Lili of the Valley topper and added stickles around the edge.  The patterned papers are from Prima - North Country collection 6x6.  I can't remember where I got the sentiment from but that has been stickled too and layered onto some deep red card I found in my stash.

Big red organza ribbon from my stash too!  Quite a quick and simple card to make - good job because I probably have another 14 of the images to go at!

Good luck with the challenge!  I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Ribbons:  Anything Goes With Ribbon
Cute Card Thursday:  Tie It Up
The House That Stamps Built:  Fur, Fin or Feathers
Try It On Tuesdays:  Animals or Birds
Creative Creations:  For A Child

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 39 - Vintage

It's time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is:

Vintage

I'm sponsored by the fab Cardmakers Delights who are offering the challenge winner 5 sets of toppers from the store!  If you've not heard of Cardmakers Delights before, just click on the banner and have a wander through their store!

I was sent a very generous selection of Christmas themed toppers in preperation for the challenge and I've used one on my card:

The papers are a mixture from my stash - the 'falling dots' one is Prima - North Country 6x6 and the main background is Pink Paislee - Family Matters.  I've layered the topper - its printed onto to thick card and quite a perfect shape for using - onto some brown card from my stash and then used an old kraft folder to layer everything else onto.

The stitching is all faux and the snowflake charm is from The Bead and Button Company and the ribbon and embroidery thread are from my stash.

Good luck with the challenge - for more details, pop over to Crimbo Crackers!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Christmas at Sweet Stampin':  Kraft
Anything Goes Challenge:  Metal
Artistic Inspirations:  Anything Goes
The Crazy Challenge:  Add A Charm

Topper:  Cardmakers Delights
Printed Papers:  Pink Paislee and Prima

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 37 - No Stamped Images

It's time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme this fortnight is:

No Stamped Images

If you want more details about the chalelnge, please pop over to Crimbo Crackers!

I've used a felt Christmas Tree decoration that I bought from Tesco in the same - just snipped off the ribbon loop on his body!

The printed papers are from Prima 6x6 North Country Collection and I've used an X Cut fancy die for the shapes plus brown card from my stash.  I've had the paper pad for quite some time and it is really pretty - so that probably explains why I have so much of it left!

The thin chocolate brown organza ribbon is also from my stash and I've added some doodling around the edges of the card and die cut.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge:  Bingo (Ribbon, Animal, Die Cuts)
Going Grey With Scrap Creations:  Favourite Embellishment (Christmas decorations in the sale that I can use on my cards!)
Use It Tuesdays:  Die Cuts / Punches and Horded Supplies (paper pad I've had for ages along with the ribbon)
Ohh La La Creations:  Four Legged Friends (I know he only has 2 but in real life there are 4!)
Use Your Stuff:  Four Legged Friends

Papers:  Prima 6x6 North Country pad
Embellishment:  Tesco's Christmas Tree decoration
Dies:  X Cut fancy die
Everything else:  My stash

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 24 - Vintage

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and this fortnight the theme is:

Vintage

I have a fab new sponsor - Cardmaker's Delights and Tracey the owner and creator of the fab toppers sent me a rather generous selection so I could make a sample!  There are 5 sets of the winners choice to be won and to have a look at what Tracey offers, just click on the banner below:

I've used various toppers a number of times over the past months and I can honestly say that they are wonderful quality - thick card and amazing colour.  They are the size of the old cigarette cards and can be layered and matted to co-ordinate with other images and papers.  Great to use when you don't have time (or can't be bothered!) to colour an image!  And they don't take up a lot of storage either - the only downside is trying to decide which collections to buy as there are lots of choice!

I've used Prima 6x6 papers - North Country Collection both for the card base and layering plus some thin organza chocolate brown ribbon and some jet black half pearls.  I've had the papers around 6 months and this is the first time I've broken into them.  Terrible eh?!  Really quick and simple to make.  And I've also discovered the the top of the garden waste wheelie bin is a good place to take a photo especially when its nice and sunny!  The bin was clean!

Not my typical Christmas card make, but I actually quite like it!

Good luck with the Crimbo Crackers challenge - for more details, pop over to the blog.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Anything Goes Challenge:  Early Christmas
Ladybug Crafts Ink:  Christmas Photo Inspiration (the red)
LEJ Designs:  Winter Wishes

  • Topper:  Cardmaker's Delights
  • Papers:  Prima 6x6 North Country Collection
