Splish Splash - Taking A Bath!

Isn't this just a lovely image?! Its from Jellypark and I've coloured her with Aquamarkers and Promarkers (skin). All the papers are from Polkadoodles - the layered blue I've printed at a smaller size and used it underneath too and I've added a line of dots around the edges with liquid pearls. Ribbon is Stampin Up and I've added some glitter glue to the bubbles along with seed beads for extra sparkle!

I've used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches which is almost virtually the same as The Corrosive Challenge too!
I'm also entering the card into the following challenge:

Cooking It Up With Katie
: Blue, Splash and Circles (seed beads for bubbles!)
Passion for Promarkers: Blue / Brown combo
Dutch Dare Challenge: Recipe: 3 papers (off white spots and two blue spots), 2 embellishments (ribbon and seed beads) and 1 image
Phindy's Place: Water
Make It Colourful - Blue

Green, Cute and Brads

This was one of those cards that came together rather quickly and has given me an idea for some more cards that I've been asked to make (at very short notice!) so that's what I'll be doing tonight!

The challenge on Cooking It Up With Katie is:

Cute, Green and Brads

So here we have it - and I hope its cute enough! The papers are from Funky Daze from Funky Hand and are all from my bits box. The brads are from my stash along with the string.

I've doodled a fine line and a running line around the edge of the card, plus a little inking and running line on the banners too. The sentiment is from the Our Betty - Special Day stamp set and I'm always a little nervous about stamping directly onto a card, but these stamps are perfect every time!

Retro Fun at Thirty

This is the first time I've managed to enter a Cooking It Up With Katie challenge, and I have a little confession to make too. The wordbook below has been made with the brand new Retro Fun wordbook download from Funky Hand which was released a few weeks ago, and I totally forgot to blog it for the launch....

But as it fits the challenge:

Something New
Something Old
Something Sweet

I thought I could show it anyway! The something new is the new wordbook and my first 'play' with the papers - lovely funky and bright, and well, retro colours! The old element is the fact that Claire (helllloooo again!) is 30 (although I've no room to talk!). And the sweet part, well, the colours remind me of Tootie Frootie sweeties (pic at the end of the post!)

I've printed each of the letters onto 240gsm white linen effect card and then cut them out, securing the end with eyelets and then cream and burgundy organza ribbon. The hat pin is one of my creations and has matching seed beads added onto it.

The flowers have been cut from scraps of card and use my flower Cuttlebug die and I've added seed beads to the centres. I've also dotted around the inside of the letters with a silver gel pen for effect.

Hope to join the challenges more often!
