Super Dad!

I've used the monthly progressive freebie digi stamp from From The Heart Stamps - join in with the stamp and you get next month's free and so on! This is such a fab digi too! I've coloured it with Promarkers and then used various papers that I found in my still overflowing box!

The sentiment came with the digi stamp, along with a few others and I've used black card from my stash for layering. The stars are X Cut dies then layered with black card; a bit of faux stitching around the edges and the card is complete!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Is It A Bird? Is It A Plane?!

......no! It's Captain Thunderpants! Ready to go at a moments (well, a few hours) notice to save the day!

His cape is freshly laundered, as are his thunderpants!

Buy Captain Thunderpants and Blunder Woman together and save a quid! Now you can be your very own Superhero! Background papers (very carefully joined as I didn't have a square offcut left!) from Not For Girls cd from Polkadoodles and I've coloured the Captain with Promarkers!

Middle Age

I've been having great fun using the Funny Sentiments 02 sheet from Dr Digi, and this one in particular! I've printed the sentiment onto kraft card and then embellished with some stars and funky 'tashes!

Perfect as a nod to the man who is hitting that particular age and needs to try and grow a 'tash!!

Papers are from Polkadoodles Fredericka cd and the dies are Memory Box and X Cut. Don't forget the special offer Dr Digi has at the moment to celebrate our second Birthday!

A Little Bit of Sepia

Have you seen the Memories In Sepia download in the Funky Hand shop? It's a great download with plenty of papers to choose from but my particular favourites are the scrip papers - I've used one in my card below.

I've used various punches and dies to create the fancy border and rolled flowers. I've also added some half pearls to the middle of the flowers and set it all off with some hot pink satin ribbon!

There are lots more downloads in the store! I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Pink Chick

I'm on a mission to try and use up all the offcuts of card I have and some offcuts are more challenging than others - the ones from wordbooks are the most tricky! I've used wordbook leftovers for this card and have had to do some clever joining!

The image is from From The Heart Stamps - Birthday Candle Birdbrain and coloured it with Promarkers. All the papers are Funky Hand and the buttons are from my stash along with donated ribbon (from a jumper!)

Polkadoodle Challenge - Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Time for a new Polkadoodle challenge and the theme for the fortnight is - Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

I've interpreted the theme as starting new and fresh and have used some of the fabulous Studio 12 stamps - Dreamy Trees, House of Hearts, House of Possibility and Sunshine House. Coloured with Promarkers and then popped onto the ribbed card with foam pads and I've added some cute little key charms and a handwritten sign.

The string I've recycled from a parcel and I've added some glossy accents to the centre so it doesn't come undone.

Good luck with the challenge!

Have A Handy Birthday

The perfect image to send to the Man About The House who is rather handy with his hammer and chisel and will, at a moments notice, be prepared to wear the Tool Belt of Fixing Things.

Forever with a cheesy smile, whiter than white vest and a pair of cut-off jeans, what more could a woman (with a leaky tap) want?! Man About The House digi is available to buy (perfect for Fathers Day!) from Dr Digi! I've coloured him with Promarkers and used a sheet of paper from Polkadoodles Work and Play cd along with tools from Paper Boutique Vol 3 also from Polkadoodles. Sentiment is handwritten.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Pretty In Pink

A quick one from me today - a cute From The Heart image, coloured with Promarkers and a little stickles with papers from Funky Hand - Button Babies which I've had to carefully use as they were all scraps - thank goodness I didn't have to use full circles! Plus Spellbinder dies. I've also used some bakers twine from Funky Hand. And thats it!

Jellypark Challenge - Sporty

It's one of those Fridays when my blog posts come thick and fast! This time its the turn of Jellypark and the new challenge which is Sporty. I had a few cards to make for a good friend a while ago and one was a Birthday card for a 70 year old male who plays crown green bowls.

So this was the perfect stamp to use - Crown Green Bowler. I've coloured him with Promarkers and I've cut out the large 70 myself and also coloured it with Promarkers to look like grass before backing it onto black card.

The sentiment has been cut with a Sizzix alphabet die - Girls are Weird and I added the image with foam pads so it stands proud a little.

Good luck with the challenge! I'd like to enter the following:

Crafters Cafe: Masculine

Polkadoodle Challenge - Male

It's time for the midway inspiration for the current Polkadoodle challenge and the theme is Male. I do enjoy using the Paper Boutique cd's - this shaped card - from V3 - (along with removable tools) is really easy to make - I printed everything out using the A5 template and then glued the box together and once dry I could add all the tools.

It all fits into an A5 envelope quite easily and it does look rather stunning! There is a pop up sentiment that can be removed to write a message on too.

Good luck with the challenge! I'd like to enter the following:

Simply Create Too Challenge - Colours of Your Country

Another challenge has started at Simply Create Too and its a rather apt theme considering the World Cup is almost upon us! You can enter the challenge if you create something using your countries colours. I've used red, white and blue representing the UK.

I bought quite a few of these cute pre coloured toppers from Lily of The Valley some time ago and I thought I'd better start using them! I've had to trim this one down a little so that it fitted on a 6x6 card blank.

The papers I randomly found in my rather large box of offcuts (that also need using up!) and I used ribbon from my stash. The number 1 die cut is one that I bought a very long time ago from ebay and it will be for a little girls First Birthday!

Good luck with the Simply Create Too challenge - visit the blog to see the wonderful creations from the Design Team and all the different countries represented!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 66 - Anything Goes

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme is (always a good one!) Anything Goes but it does have to be Christmas!

I've used a cute digi from From The Heart Stamps - Moonlight Snowman and coloured him with Promarkers. I've used my trusty very old and rather worn blue inkpad for a light colouring; two Cuttlebug embossing folders (snowflakes and swiss dots) and a Marianne Designs die cut snowflake. The sentiment came with the digi.

Good luck with the challenge! I'd like to enter the following:

4 Crafty Chicks: Christmas
As You Like It: Favourite Embossing Technique (dry - because its quick and easy to do!)
Crafty Creations: All About S - Snowman, Snowflake, Stitching

Cricket

Derek from Dr Digi does like the thwack of the cricket ball against willow. Ever since he was a young lad with his jam encrusted face pressed up to the perimeter fence at Old Trafford, Derek avidly watches the worlds finest team. Although nowadays its usually via the portable telly in the caravan.

Still he can dream that one day he'll play and hit a six.....

Derek has been coloured with Promarkers, background clouds from Echo Park - Summerdays and I've handcut the grass. I've also handcut the bunting and handwrote the letters.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

A Summer Mouse

Ah, a cute little summer mouse! The image is from From The Heart Stamps - For You Mouse - and I've coloured it with Promarkers and used two Nestability dies for the shapes. All papers are from Jessica Sprauge - A to Z Mega kit although I bought it a while ago when it was on the One Buck Wednesday offer!

I've handcut the little bumps at the top of the image and added half pearls; a little bit of doodling and some mint green ribbon, the sketch is completed!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:
