Bird-day

I've left this a little last moment, but I have been so busy this month - in fact I can't believe its March tomorrow - I'm still mid December in my head! I've used the progressive monthly freebie image from From The Heart Stamps. It's alwasy such a lovely surprise to get the next monthly image in my inbox and they are always a dream to colour! And a play on words is always good in my book!

I've used Promarkers to colour with some stickles for sparkle. The papers are leftovers from Cosmo Cricket Mr Campy. And the brown card I've layered the image on is from my stash. And the ribbon is from my stash - lovely chocolate brown!

Forgotten Funkies - Minty Madness

It's time to delve back into the archives of Funky Hand and this month it is the fantastic and delicious Minty Madness download that the Funkettes are using!

I've made an exploding box using the papers, Die-Namic flower dies and Sizzix Girls Are Weird alphabet dies. The gems and ribbon are generous donations from my cousin Claire from when she got married nearly two years ago and they matched perfectly! The tag has been handwritten and is also a Sizzix die.

I realised after I'd taken the photo that I'd not attached the top layer to the bottom! So that's why it looks a little wonky!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 59 - Blue and White

It's time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge - and the theme for the fortnight is Blue and White. So as long as its Christmas or Festive and it follows the brief then it can be entered!

The challenge is sponsored by Funky Hand so of course I've used one of the fantastic wordbook downloads - Blue Christmas and made this wordbook along with some pearlescent stars and organza ribbon. It's really easy and quick to make and I've added a bit of extra interest by adding stickles around the edge of the letters.

And that's it! Good luck with the challenge!

Unique

Yes readers, the lurid purple and lime green fur silky dressing gowns are back in fashion. But did they ever go out of fashion for Wanda? I fear not. And she takes great pride in knowing that she has a matching rug.

Weekend Wanda is available to buy in the Dr Digi store.

I've coloured the images with Promarkers - the rug is my own creation, along with my own handwriting and the balloon is a Marianne die cut that I've coloured for co-ordination purposes.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Passion for Promarkers: Make It Digital

Its' time for a new Polkadoodles challenge and the theme for the fortnight (the challenges now last 2 weeks!) is Sugar and Spice I've gone way back to Paper Boutique Vol 3 to make my sample for this week. I've used the A5 template, printed all the elements, cut them out and layered up, adding punched stars and ribbon to close the card

I've added stickles to parts of the card and also round the edge of the sentiment star. It's a great quick card to make which looks fab too!

Good luck with the challenge!

Jellypark Challenge - Chocolate / Cake

Phew! Its the last post for today and its also the new challenge and release day over at Jellypark. I'll be showing off the two new release stamps over the next week but as you'd expect from Jellypark, they are worth waiting for! The new website is also up and running and we hope that you'll be popping over to have a look!

Onto the Jellypark challenge which is Chocolate and or Cake. Yum! I've used the Cake digi stamp from the store, coloured it with Promarkers and liquid pearls plus stickles.

I've used a fancy Spellbinders die to cut out the image and then used papers I found in my stash from Funky Hand that really do need using up as my box of bits is getting a little out of control! And I've used some chocolate brown satin ribbon - found just enough in my stash for what I required!

Good luck with the challenge! I'd like to enter the following:

Brown Sugar: Use A Die Cut or Punch
Card Making Mamas: Make It Sparkle
Sister Act Card Challenge: Anything Goes
Milk Coffee Challenge: Girly

Polkadoodles Challenge - Love / Romance

Another Polkadoodles challenge! And its Frenzy Friday too as this is the second of three posts today!! I now I've been rather sparodic in my blogging recently - I've got a rather busy life; work is hectic and I've just moved offices so now face a 3 hour commute each day from home to work and back again so it takes its toll on me. The boys are also still very busy - football training twice a week and matches plus karting too - 3 Championships to go for this year!

Anyway, the new Polkaoodle challenge is Love / Romance. I've kept it very clean and simple again this week - I've used the Sleepyhead digi but only used the sentiment which has been coloured with Promarkers and glossy accents. A few half pearls and the job is done!

The digi features a very fab image too but I thought the sentiment was too good an opportunity to miss out on using!I've got some really slim envelopes (I bought a bargain pack of Christmas cards in the sale a few years ago to get some unusual sized envelopes) and I thought it was about time I started to use them plus it helps to use up the offcuts from making square cards from A4 card.

I'd like to enter the following challenges

Creative Corner: From The Heart
QKR Stampede: Sentiment Only
Totally Papercrafts: Valentine / Love
The Stamping Boutique: Valentine / Love
4 Crafty Chicks: Use Pearls

Simply Create Too Challenge - Green / St Patricks Day

There is a new Simply Create Too challenge! And the theme is Green or St Patricks Day. I've gone for a simple look (you'll note that this is a feature of today across all the blog posts that I have!)

I've used a great image - From The Heart Digital Stamps, and coloured it with Promarkers. I've cut out the image and then added it to the card with foam pads. The card was a generous donation from my cousin Claire and its all left over from her Wedding stationery. The ribbon is from my stash.

I've tied the sentiment as a tag to the jar and used embroidery thread to do it. Good luck with the Simply Create Too challenge!

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 58 - Santa

Time for another Crimbo Crackers challenge and I'm sponsored by the fab Dr Digi - 2 digis from the store are up for grabs! The theme for the challenge is Santa.

I've used a fab Dr Digi - Harley Santa and I've coloured it with Promarkers. I've used a kraft card blank and recycled the front of a Christmas card which is the sentiment and reads. The tiny fairy lights are from my stash and I've had them for ages.

I've used watercoloure pencils for the shading underneath Santa and his Harley. Good luck with the challenge!

Gardening Glory

Here is a little something to help you remember warmer days and being outside without 7 thermal layers and waders. You can buy Green Fingers and Thumb from the Dr Digi store plus you can get a bundle deal if you want!

That marrow is a whopper but to be honest, I'd rather be sitting in the summer house sipping something cold and alcoholic!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers, used a sentiment from a Funky Hand download and a page (with carefully placed elements) from a paint catalogue.
