White Winter

I do like making cards without an image. For one its a lot quicker as I don't spend the time colouring and then trying to match papers (should do it the other way round but I never learn!) Plus I can then use what ever colour scheme I want.

I decided on the Jingle Belles sketch and as I'd just treated myself to some Marianne Creatables dies - the snowflake set- from Amazon (gift certificate) I thought I'd better use them.

For some reason I have a lot of vellum, but to be honest, you really can't have enough of the stuff as it really is great to work with and I should use it more! I used the half pearls (from Meiflower) to hide the glue splodges underneath the vellum.

And the ribbon I found in my stash and it was just what I was looking for! The snowflakes are layered and I've cut some glitter card too in between the vellum layers. I've also added a line of silver gel pen dots around the edge of the vellum to sort of finish it off as it looked a little bare.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Jingle Belles: Sketch followed
Craft Your Passion: Die Cuts or Punches
Lexi's Creations: Die Cuts or Punches
Stampin' Sisters In Christ: Something Transparent
The Stamp Man: Vellum

  • Dies: Marianne Creatables
  • Half Pearls: Meiflower
  • Everything else: My stash
