Polkadoodle Challenge Week 44 - Sparkle, Bling or Glitter

We are part way through the current Polkadoodle challenge and the theme is:

Sparkle, Bling or Glitter

I've used papers from Twiggy and Toots cd and made a larger than life 21st Birthday card!  The numbers are from a template I created and I also made the bunting with another simple template.

The card base is a left over strip from making a square card and I've inked the edges plus added glitter glue on the large numbers.  The extra bling is glass beads left over from one of my cousin's wedding from a few years ago.

Good luck with the challenge and whilst you're there have a look at all the other inspiration!

This is a stocking I made with my own template, using Funky Hand papers (no longer available) and although Anice closed the Funky Hand doors a few months ago, I have a copy of Twelve Crafters Crafting cd as a prize for one lucky entry to this challenge!

There is a new sketch with a twist challenge at I {heart} sketches!

I've used the fab image Gift Stack Birdbrain, coloured with Promarkers plus a little glitter glue and glossy accents.  I've layered the image onto some green card (I bought a pack of really lovely block colour card from Lidl a while ago - wish I'd bought more than 2 packs!)  The stamp is from Clearly Besotted.   The digi comes in two versions - this Christmas one and then a more plain packages image so that it can be used for birthdays.

And here is the sketch:

From The Heart Stamps October Blog Hop - Meet The Design Team!

It's the Blog Hop!  And this month it's all about meeting the existing team for From The Heart Stamps and also those of us that have been lucky to be selected for a six month term!

As you hop from blog to blog don't forget to leave a comment as we will all be selecting a random comment to win and image of choice from the store plus there will be a game with prizes on the FTHS blog!

So, a few things about me:

I've had a painting exhibited in a gallery.  It was quite a tough selection panel and I was lucky that mine got through to the exhibition and on my first try too!
I use Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Aquamarkers plus from time to time use Watercolour Pencils to colour the images I choose.  And I used to use felt-tips before I found Promarkers!
I love the Birdbrains in the store!
My crafting space is the dining room table – no real dedicated space however, lets say that its a very rare occasion when we get to all sit at the table with all my craft stuff tided away!
I save the containers that sprinkles come in (the things you can shake on to the top of ice-cream) as I keep my rather large (and growing) stash of half pearls in them…..!
The image I've chosen is Snow Girl which is image number 6 in the Project 100 Snowmen.  I really do enjoy making pop up boxes although I don't make them often enough.  This one will have a personal message added on the front flap - my cousin asked me to make a special card for her daughter who will celebrate her first Christmas this year!

I've used Promarkers to colour plus dotted liquid pearls around the edges of each of the panels.  Ribbons and charms are from my stash and the snowflakes are cut with Sizzix and Marianne Creatables dies and I've layered them up.  The large snowflake on the back panel is a Memory Box, cut twice and layered.  Bunting I've hand cut and wrote plus added the bows from another Memory Box die.

As this is a blog hop and if you've hopped from the beginning then you are nearly complete as I am the last link!  You should have arrived at me from Michelle so if you've randomly found me, then please start at the beginning so you don't miss anything!

So before you go, please leave me a comment and then hop over to the FTHS blog and leave your final comment.  The hop will end on Monday 5 October at 6am EST and the list of winners will be posted on the blog on Wednesday 7 October.

Good luck!!

Polkadoodle Challenge Week 40 Inspiration- Favourite Card Shape

We are part way thorough the current Polkadoodle challenge and the theme is:

Favourite Card Shape

I LOVE using Paper Boutique Vol 3 because it makes card making so easy to produce stunning results!  This has to be my favourite card shape - really easy to make, print all the elements out A5 size, cut out, layer up with foam pads and add glitter where required!  You also get a pink version of the cupcake along with blank stars so you can add your own sentiment.

I've added some spotty organza ribbon from my stash to the hole I've punched at the top so I can close the card (it opens from the bottom) plus X Cut die stars from chocolate coloured card.  Really easy and so good on the hips!  Good luck with the challenge!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Karleigh Sue Challenge:  Anything But Square

Simply Create Too - Challenge 95 - Autumn Splendor

The current Simply Create Too challenge is under way and the theme is:

Autumn Splendour

Before Samuel finished Primary School in July, I made his teachers gift bags and then added some useful school equipment - pens, pencils, paper clips, note books etc inside, and this is one of the bags I made.   I bought a job lot of white gift bags a while ago from ebay and I've decorated it with papers from Funky Hand (now retired) using X Cut dies.

I've used a Sizzix die for the tag and handwrote it, adding ribbon from my stash to attach it to the handle.  Really simple and quick to make plus I managed to use up a lot of off-cuts I had lying around which I just did not want to throw away!

Good luck with the challenge - more details are on the Simply Create Too blog.  I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafting For All Seasons:  Autumnal Hues
